Ganja Yoga NJ

Cannabis-enhanced yoga, from the comfort and safety of your own home, taught by founder Dan Smith

Ganja Yoga NJ, where we offer a unique fusion of two practices that were once thought to be incompatible: yoga and cannabis.

As a cannabis user myself, I understand the appeal of using cannabis to calm down and relax after a busy day. But as I started to explore yoga more deeply, I discovered that there was a healthier way to deal with stress and regulate my emotions. Yoga showed me that I didn't need to be super high all the time to feel calm and centered. So yoga helped to loosen the hold cannabis, and substances in general, had over my decision making. It taught me that less really could be more! Simply put, if your tolerance level is super high, then you have to spend more time, energy and money trying to stay at that level. But if your tolerance is low because you use it sparingly, then you will need less to feel like you are at your level.

Cannabis enhances my yoga practice by making me more introspective and in tune with the sensations of the body. I began to experiment with combining the two practices and found that the results were truly transformative.

That's why I created Ganja Yoga NJ – to offer a space where people like us can come together to explore the benefits of cannabis-infused yoga in a safe and supportive environment. Our classes are designed to help you deepen your yoga practice, enhance your mind-body connection, and experience a greater sense of relaxation and well-being.

Our classes are not just about getting high – they're about cultivating mindfulness and self-awareness, and learning to use cannabis in a way that supports your overall health and wellness. We believe that by combining the ancient wisdom of yoga with the healing power of cannabis, we can help you achieve a deeper level of peace and harmony in your life.

So whether you're a seasoned yogi or a curious newcomer, we invite you to join us for a truly unique and transformative experience. Come explore the synergy between yoga and cannabis and discover a new way of being in the world.

Benefits of Practicing Ganja Yoga

It's clear that both Yoga and Cannabis offer a ridiculous number of health benefits, even for people who aren't drawn to the spiritual aspects. For those that do wish to go beyond the pragmatic applications, Yoga and Cannabis are both very effective tools for spiritual growth, or the journey toward enlightenment.

Enhance Relaxation

According to both science and yoga, relaxation is the key to well-being. Cannabis enhanced yoga brings greater introspection, daydreaming, self-examination, creativity, and play -- the qualities of consciousness we enjoy when we're relaxed.

Deepen Embodiment.png

Deepen Embodiment

Because of it's focus on sensation and embodiment over visual form, Ganja Yoga tends to be a more internalized experience than what many are used to from yoga. Cannabis draws the practitioner more deeply into feeling, so there's less mental activity related to what is going on around the yogi.

Elevate Creativity.png

Elevate Creativity

Cannabis has positive mental effects, particularly with regard to creativity. Studies have shown that when people are high, they make creative associations that can lead to radically new ideas. Cannabis doesn't hinder linear thinking; it encourages nonlinear thinking.

Expand Consciousness.png

Expand Consciousness

For thousands of years, yogis, mystics, and shamans have been using cannabis and other plant medicines to leave behind ordinary states of consciousness and explore portals to other dimensions of experience like relaxation, embodiment, pleasure, and creativity.

ABOUT ME

I have been a cannabis fan for 15 years and when I found yoga then practiced "high" I noticed that the two things complimented one another. Cannabis is stress relieving and so is yoga. cannabis can put you in the perfect state of mind to practice yoga and meditation. yoga, in turn, can help us develop a healthier relationship with cannabis. It can teach us the value of moderation, which is ease to overstep with cannabis.

-that's all i have right now, if i think of anything else I'll send you a message-
